Candle Power

My wife loves candles. She collects them and displays them around the house. I have to admit I like them also.
A candle can change the room. The light from well-placed candles on a dark night will warm the room and the persons in it.
I didn’t know this before but we have candles that are just for show. Never to be lit. Oh, they are really beautiful. The candles are, what I like to call, “show candles”. How sad is it for a candle, designed to be a thing of light, never to be lit?
I can think of some Christians that are like the “show candle”. They are nice looking, do the right things but are never on fire, never burning for Christ.
How can we become lights to the world, if we never come down from the shelf?
Stop being “show candles”, be a light and lead someone from the darkness.
